Paroles de vignerons - Vinparleur - Winzer talk

The vineyards of Arjolle and Margon

Come and watch the winegrower proud of his work. Concerned about the environment, the consumer and the sustainability of his activity, he aims to produce high quality grapes in his vineyards. Traceability and a Charta for sustainable agriculture guide this work.

Vignes Domaine de l'Arjolle @ VinParleurCome and see the skilfully planted vineyards with their straight lines. The almost perfect geometry eases mechanical interventions, but not without keeping a wakeful eye on each plant.

Picture by Bérangère for VinParleurCome to admire the diversity of our flora and fauna, preserved by respectful work. We definitely care about biodiversity and the pureness of our waters.

Come and smell the freshly ploughed earth or the lately cut grass. We adapt the work in our vineyards to soil types and the climate of each vintage. Herbicides have been banned since long time from our vineyards and are replaced by mechanical or handicraft.

Fleur de vigne Domaine de l'Arjolle @ VinParleurCome and smell the fresh and delicate odours of vine blossoms. It’s a crucial period of the growing season, supervised closely by the winzer: first parasites and diseases might arrive on the vines, and he has to decide whether he intervenes or not. Produce healthy grapes with a minimum of interventions – that’s what we aim for at the Domaine de l’Arjolle since decades.

Raisins Domaine de l'Arjolle @ VinParleurCome and taste the diversity of our grape varieties: the locals (Grenache and Syrah), the exotics (Zinfandel and Carmenere), and the ones that originate from other wine regions in France (Chardonnay Sauvignon, Viognier, Muscat, Cabernet and Merlot). It’s this diversity in our vineyards – soils, climates and grape varieties – that makes our work so interesting and joyful. In more than 60 vineyards we are looking for balance of biodiversity and balance of taste.
