Le Devoir Québec : Château du Cèdre 2009, Cahors (Les vins de la semaine)

In his “Selection of the Week” on January 18th, Jean Aubry wrote:
This estate is to Cahors what the pope is to the Vatican: Both are inseparable The man, the grape variety, his experience and above all his sensibility, combined to the best terroirs - it all serves to build this Cahors on solid ground and to push it to the peak of its possibilities. Colour, density, chew and fruit, nothing’s missing!

Château du Cèdre 2009 Le Cèdre, Wine Enthusiast buying guide March 2013

One of the two top wines from Cèdre, this selection is named after the cedar tree in the winery’s courtyard. It’s elegant and powerful, and its weight comes from the firm tannins, sweet fruits and fresh acids. The structure is present, but it’s the ripe fruit that is seductive. Age this for many years.
