The first edition of the « Printemps de Châteauneuf du Pape », a new springtime event organised by the young vignerons of Châteauneuf, took place in the centre of the village this weekend.
About 60 wineries presented their wines to wine lovers, the event being open to everyone.

You could find some famous names and some less famous amongst the Domaines et Châteaux, and you could taste a lot of wines while talking to the wine makers in a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.

While the white wines mainly were from 2008 and 2009 vintages, you could find some smooth traditional reds from ’07 and some very delicate and complex cuvees from ’06 and ’05.

Outside the place the weather was showing its “Grand Cru” side, inviting for a siesta somewhere in the vineyards after tasting…
